[mood | hopeful]

Last night Ennis Anne called and I actually spoke to her, though it didn't help much. Though today I feel better than I have in the past week and a half. work is fine, though right now it is all I have going on right now... I am socially inapt right now, not for lack of trying, however it is getting hot again and is keeping me from being able to go out and do any decent running. I did have a discret interaction with someone today that was nice (we spoke about "Pug") though as I had said... I am not really holding out hope for anything with anyone right now. I have felt like a slug so there is that and probably gained a few pounds again. I'll lose it eventually I suppose. I had a shit run yesterday, but I am going to try it again tonight.

Down [Aug. 13th, 2007|03:46 am]
Anyway, I have deleted what is perhaps my last personal My Space page as to keep myself less in view. It seems that most people I have ever dated tend to find me on there and eventully bitch about what I wrote and or stalk me.

I will admit that my attitude has been dark as of late, I am hoping for a turn. There are various reasons for why and how I feel the way I do, Though I suppose I don't have it in me to talk about it at the moment.

Cry If You Want Too, She Won't Be Coming Down [Apr. 8th, 2007|04:45 pm]
I got to thinking, which has been my main source of contention lately, but I was trying to decide if I was happy last year than I am now. To answer this honestly, I would have to say yes. Granted last year at this time I had a pretty study job that paid okay, I had a girlfriend who was pretty and fulfilling in certain ways. Though I must admit that there was something missing from last year. I know what it was, I just want to keep that to myself. I was too comfortable, too complacent with everything. Not that I feel I need to struggle, but I certainly felt something missing that I don't feel so much now. I don't know, I suppose I am happier, though that doesn't necessary make me happy... sort of I guess.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. This morning during my run I was listening to Weezer's Green Album... I forgot how great that album is... that is where the title comes from.

Pug One Still On Sale [Mar. 31st, 2007|03:35 pm]
For a limited time. I am broke at the moment ad have limited resources to print more up at the time. As a matter of fact, both Reading Frenzy and Floating World Comics have one single issue left. "Pug" is doing pretty well and I was told to bring back more, so that's good. Two is done, I just need to have it formatted which should be soon.

Whoa... A incomplete blog from this past summer, what the hell? [Feb. 15th, 2007|07:52 pm]
(unknown content) For mainly just not being here and doing other useless shit on the web... though I like "Internets" better. So, what have I been up to you ask? Buying a shit load of books, and not much else including food. But seriously, I have a problem. I bought today alone EIGHT books!! That is a whole lot of books. Where do I get the money you are now no doubtbly asking? I don't really. I am just fucked up in thinking that I am going to change the world that is in my mind, though I do feel more "well read." Just recently I actually sat down and bothered to read a few of these books in my ever growing collection. "Fear and Trembling": from Kierkegaard was a fun read and "The Communist Manifesto" did make me angry, but not for reasons you may be thinking. The way that fucking thing was translated into English, it's no wonder that America is as capitalistic as it is... I had to read paragraphs over few various times, break them down in my mind, then I figured that it was two real pretenious Germans who secretly wished they were French... you may get more from it than that, but I didn't pick up anything new other than there is a reason why Communism fails, it pretty much explains it in the book. (and more goobly gook)

I assume that I had wrote this sometime in August 2006, as it was something I had posted on my now deleted My Space blog (V.4) anyhow.

Forever And Oak [Jun. 8th, 2006|09:15 am]
My Space sucks. It sucks because it is entirely to easy to be found via a google search. Not that LiveJournal doesn't on occasion get it's share of breaches of privecy, but recently my sisters and various ex-girlfriends in the past few months have found me and scrutinized me for various reasons, per my blog... fucking retarded! Anywho, I have been working on a new zine titled "Forever and Oak." It's coming along okay, though as a result of mebeing slightly lazy about it, there are a shit load of grammical errors that I wish to not correct, though I suppose I should. I have been enjoying work, as it sucks less than any other place I've worked. Hey, look at the time. Gots to go yo!

I Have Been Trying To Leave The House For Three Hours Now [Mar. 31st, 2006|12:59 pm]
Part of this is due to having little to no money, which is mostly that. I was able to eat at home and make myself some fantastic coffee. I do have to work today and have been trying to get in early which I still may do.... just not at noon as I thought I was going to do. I have been working on a comic strip, but I need to find a better photo hosting site than Photobucket... any suggestions? Let me know if so, thanks.

Anyway, I haven't beenin awhile, but I am here now. I am going to post important shit here, as opposed to elsewhere. Anyway, I am going to working on my novel when I am working or elsewhere. My livejournal is far more private than say "My Space." I'll be back later, but I have shit to do.

Because My Space Sucks Up Too Much Time [Mar. 2nd, 2006|08:31 am]
I haven't been on here too much, because I have been on My Space mostly... and man is that a scary place to be on the internet. It's so odd how addicting it gets there, and god forbid if you wonder in the music fourms. Anyway, I am back here at the moment and will probably stay for a bit. I may get spruce up the page some, though I am going to honestly try not to be here so much either. Than again, who knows.

More Live Journal Stuff [Oct. 19th, 2005|09:11 pm]
So, I have been posting most of my enteries at My Space, which I have decided I don't like so much... not as much as say, here. I will however have to be on top of my posting here. My Space is okay, but they do delete people from time to time. Anyway, I am out.

Dancing Queen - ABBA From Arrival.  I can honestly tell you that I really don't know very many people who don't like ABBA.  I do and oddly enough, Dancing Queen is a great drinking song.  It seems that I'm always with a big group of people when we drink, and this song lightens up the news some..

A Little Less Conversation - Elvis Presley In the late 60's, Elvis had some important choices to make.  Either to keep coming out with great "rockibilly" stuff, or just give up and go to Vegas.  Aside from that, A Little Less Conversation is one of the kings best.

Finishing The Top 100, Then I'm Leaving... [Dec. 16th, 2004|09:35 am]
[music |Can Your Pussy Do The Dog - The Cramps]

http://profiles.myspace.com/users/13041709

Keep this for later, this is where I'll be going.  In the meantime... I need to finish the Top 100 list

Mindless Child Of Motherhood - The Kinks From The Kinks Kronikles.  One of the best groups of all time you ask me, and i almost forgot to add themto this list.  Anyhow, one of my favorite songs from The Kinks is actually a Dave Davies song.  "Mindless Child.." shows off Dave's his vocal range while Ray's vocals are great as a back up.  Great song.

I Don't Know What I Can Save You From - Kings Of Convenience From Quiet Is The New Loud.  The title sounds like a threat, that really didn't follow through overall, but KoC did pretty well for themselves otherwise.  The album is low key, though it does have some shining moments.  "I Don't Know What..." is the obvious favorite.  A song about a reunion which was more lackluster than anything else.

A couple more later...

I Use To Say "I" and "Me, Now It's "Us, Now It's "We" [Dec. 15th, 2004|05:47 pm]
[mood | complacent]
[music |The Hawaii Show - Ludachrist (Feat. Notorious G.O.D.)]

So, here I am, with only ten to go on my list. But before that, a personal update. The other day, the lovely Frances called me to let me know that if I wanted my tattoo on my wrist I'd have to come in today, so I did, and got another tattoo within a week. Afterward I got my haircut.  Not as sexy as my peep [info]splent , but it's pretty damn sexy.  The title is from a Micheal Jackson song "Ben", as of recently, I offended a huge group of that child molesters fans... and I have been subjected to a ridiculous amount of E-mail.  I personally find it amusing, and dumbfounded how many people are willing to defend that pedephile.  Anywho, it's been a low key week, not much going on.  I had been into someone, but I gave up on it.  just as well, there are others.  She was somewhat different, still... whatever.  It's fine, and nothing's ruined.  Now if you'll all excuse me, I must take of my bandage and check out my scar for life - PEACE!!!

The Vibes Ain't Nothing But The Vibes [Dec. 14th, 2004|09:01 am]
[mood | indifferent]
[music |Barry Adamson - Oedipus Schmoedipus]

So, being slightly cryptic here, I need to get this out. I made a pretty long post yesterday, and it got erased. So now I'll have to a short version of it. For one I have been smiling more lately, which is something I don't do without reason. I do have a reason for it, which I really can't explain here. I will say that as of late, I had a good reason to. However, this won't last too long for a couple of reasons. For one, the environment is not as forgiving as one would think. Two, I need to work on getting my shit together a little more. I'm better now than I have been in sometime, but I still have a ways to go. Though as far as being happy, or at least for what makes me smile, I'm just going with the flow, feeling out the vibes yet I'm trying not to read too much into it.

Back In Baby's Arms - Patsy Cline Everyone, most eveyone, knows the song Crazy (which by the way was written by Willie Nelson) Truely one of America's finest "torch singers", and pratically the only one with any exposure, Patsy Cline came out a constantly great string of hits before her life was cut short by a plane crash (the crash scene is played out in horrfic detail in the movie "Sweet Dreams"... I kept rewinding it over and over.  (It doesn't show her body or anything, just a plane slamming into a mountian side) Back In Baby's Arms opens with a carnival sounding organ, and then keeps with a back beat with strings through out.  The song is just over two minutes long, but it's a nice little number

Show Me - The Pretenders From Learning To Crawl.  Some of the best guitar work from any band in the eighties (not so much off the wall stuff, but straight playing) could be found on this album.  "Back In The Chain Gang" was the big hit from this album, even that drug addict Rush uses "Middle Of The Road" as his theme song.  Show Me however is the stongest song on this album, and also the most hoping sounding song, though it is pretty pesamistic through out... the album in a whole is darkish (Formal guitarist James Honeyman-Scott OD'ed a year before. "Wecome to a speical place, with a heart of stone that's cold and gray" is a line that comes up.  The song does have a message though out however, that is aside from what life throws at you, it's all worth it for love.

Bring It On Home - Sam Cooke Recently, there was a well known guitarist who was shot on stage as he played, Dimebag Darrell originally of Pantera and as of recently, Damageplan.  Admittedly, I'm not a fan, though plenty of people were; so it was certain a tragedy for the world of music.  24 years to the day, John Lennon was shot... on my nineth birthday.  Now my birthday will be known for two famous deaths... also the same birthday as Kim Basinger, so there you go.  I bring this up due to another famous shooting, that of Sam Cooke.  Aside from Otis Redding, Sam Cooke was a man who was taking R&B to new heights (Marvin Gaye didn't really get going until the seventies) His Live In Harlem disc is one of the best live albums out there.  Bring It On Home is another one of those great little "begging" songs.  When I say Begging, I mean those songs, where singers get down on their knees sign their hearts out for "their baby to come back"... that type of stuff.

Everybody Here Wants You - Jeff Buckly From Sketches For My Sweetheart The Drunk.  So called "Sketches", because he died during that making of this album (he decided to "wade" into the Mississippi River... not to sound disrespectful, but...) Anyhow, he had finshed recording most of his contributions to the album, while some of the stuff used were demos.  It was the arrangements that weren't thought out prior to his death, so with the help of his mother (who was one time married to Tim Buckly (slightly famous folk singer, Jeff's father who too died at a young age "OD'ed") "Sweetheart was released in the summer of 1998.  It's hard to say what it would have sounded like if it was finshed by Jeff himself.  Everybody Here Wants You, proves that you don't need to be Prince to come out with great Prince songs.  Seeing that Prince took a break from being talented for most of the ninties, this song does a good job of expressing emotion and makes me sad, thinking what if...

Friday Night, Saturday Morning - The Specials I had just realized that this portion of the list had all people who died young (The Pretenders guitarist), so to move forward from that, I'll just discuss the next band The Specials.  A little know fact, if you haven't figured it out, I'm big on the early eighties mod movement.  The Specials are another band from the early eighties who were an influence on Ska (in case anyone bitches, I am aware of Madness and find them great... so there you go) However, The Specials were the one group who seemed to miss the pop radar here in America slightly.  Friday Night, Saturday Morning is a down beat number produced by Elvis Costello.  A nice little drinking number about seeing the next day in from the night before. (I go out on Friday night, and I come home on Saturday morning)

Pair Of Brown Eyes - The Pogues From Rum, Sodamy & The Lash.  I've seen Shane McGowen live.  I'm surpirsed he's still alive.  He still drinks like he doesn't give a shit, and I do recall not too long ago, he had a drug problem.  But he's still alive, so there you are.  Before releasing albums for Island, and becoming slightly watered down, The Pogues released great Irish songs with lack of production (Elvis Costello saw to that, wanting to capture The Pogues in their raw state... He soon married the bass player "yes a woman" and quit producing altogether) Pair Of Brown Eyes.  "One summer evening drunk to hell, I sat there nearly lifeless..." opens the song and made Shane McGowen pratically immortal... The Pogues did kick him out eventully, though what they didn't realize is Shane was the reason we went to the shows and paid for the music.  Oh well...
